Abdul Samad Rabiu, CFR, CON., is the Founder and Executive Chairman of BUA International Limited – a foods, mining and infrastructure conglomerate which he established in 1988 with business interests in Cement Manufacturing, Sugar Refining and Plantations, Rice, Flour Milling & Pasta Production, Oil & Gas, Construction, Real Estate and Logistics.
Abdul Samad Rabiu was a former Chairman of Tropical Continental Bank from 1993 to 2000, and a former Chairman of Nigeria’s Bank of Industry. In addition to his economic contributions, Abdul Samad Rabiu, through the BUA Foundation and his Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa (ASR Africa) Initiative, has contributed immensely to various philanthropic and social development activities in various areas from healthcare to education, sports, water & sanitation amongst others.
Abdul Samad studied Economics at Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, United States of America, and he holds double Nigerian National Honors of ‘Commander of the Federal Republic’ (CFR) and ‘Commander of The Order of The Niger’ (CON). He is a recipient of many awards including the 2016 African Industrialist of the Year Award by the All-Africa Business Leaders Awards. He is the inaugural and current President of France-Nigeria Business Council.
Chimaobi Madukwe is a Non-Executive Director at BUA Foods Plc, a Non-Executive Director at BUA Cement Plc, and the Group Chief Operating Officer at BUA Group. He has over 30 years’ experience across banking, non-bank finance, as well as commercial sectors of the economy. He was involved in various syndications, financial and management restructuring, debt management and loan workout, and business start-ups. Prior to his role as Group Chief Operating Officer, he held various roles in executive management as Group Treasurer, Group General Manager, and Group Executive Director.
His previous roles include Head of Corporate Finance and Head, Treasury with the defunct Citizens International Bank after he left PBTG Consulting as an Associate/Consultant where he was involved in the restructuring/repositioning of some major financial institutions and manufacturing companies in Nigeria.
Chimaobi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies/Accountancy and an MBA in Finance from Anambra State University of Science and Technology. He has specialised training in Negotiation, Strategy, Corporate Finance, Assets & Liability Management , Structured Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Export Finance, Leasing, SME and has attended several international training programmes, symposia/seminars on Iron and Steel development, as well as on Cement.
Kabiru Rabiu is a Non-Executive Director at BUA Foods Plc, a Non-Executive Director at BUA Cement Plc, and the Group Executive Director at BUA Group. He has over 20 years’ experience spanning multiple sectors, including edible oils, cement, and infrastructure. Prior to his appointment, he held various management positions at Nigeria Oil Mills as General Manager, and later as Managing Director of BUA Oil Mills Limited where he successfully turned around the businesses. He was the pioneer Chairman of the Nigerian Sugar Institute, and he currently sits on the boards of several private and listed companies in Nigeria.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Webster University, London, and an MBA in International Business from American Intercontinental University UK. Kabiru has won numerous awards and is a 2-time Laureate of the Institut Choiseul, France. He has also attended various courses in several business schools, including the London School of Economics and Political Science, Harvard Business School, Stanford University, and NYU amongst other institutions.
Oluseye Olufunmilayo Alayande is a seasoned Legal Practitioner with over 20 years’ extensive experience in several sectors including private law practice, oil and gas, energy, power, and the FCMG industry. She is well versed in the key areas of contract and commercial law, company secretarial, litigation advisory, negotiation drafting, regulatory management and compliance.
Oluseye commenced law practice in 2002 at the renown legal luminary and icon, Chief Rotimi Williams Chambers. Thereafter she worked at Adepetun, Caxton Martins, Agbor and Segun between May 2004 and December 2006. She went into corporate practice in January 2007 as Legal Manager, Sahara Group responsible for overseeing the Group’s commercial and energy transaction, most notably the company’s acquisition of the 1320MW Egbin Power Plant.
She worked at Afren Nigeria from 2010 to 2015 and ascended to the position of Deputy General Counsel, she handled all Afren Group’s national and international transactions in West Africa, East Africa, and Kurdistan. Key transactions included the acquisition and divestment of petroleum assets including the acquisition of OML 26 from Shell, Host Government production sharing contract negotiations, asset development contracts, crude sales contracts, commercial contract management and project finance negotiations.
From 2016 to 2020, Oluseye was the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc., with the largest franchise area in Nigeria. She was responsible for all board related matters and legal advisory service for all contracts executed by the company.
She is currently at Bua International as the Group Chief Legal Officer, Corporate & Commercial where she manages and executes all corporate and commercial negotiations and transactions undertaken by BUA.
An accomplished, forward thinking, and resourceful legal professional with exceptional leadership abilities, Oluseye excels in building highly productive and motivated teams capable of delivering consistent results within demanding regulatory environments. She is excellent at working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to ensure organizational goals are achieved.
Oluseye graduate from University of Jos with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B (Hons)) in 1999 and was called to the Nigeran Bar in 2000. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (UK Chapter) and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators. She is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and she is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Peace and Conflicts Studies at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Folarin Lajumoke is currently the Executive Director at DAMAS Petrochemicals & Refinery, a subsidiary of the BUA Group. He has built a career spanning over 20 years across the energy and financial services sectors. Prior to joining DAMAS, Folarin served as Vice President, Africa at ION, where he was responsible for operations across 24 countries. In this role, he collaborated with leading exploration and production companies, national oil companies (NOCs), and African governments to drive exploration campaigns and regional energy development strategies.
Throughout his career, Folarin has successfully led multi-million-dollar exploration projects in a range of capacities, including commercial lead, subsurface analysis, originator, negotiator, and project developer. He has also structured new venture deals and provided strategic advisory services to companies on exploration and asset acquisition and divestment (A&D) strategies.
In addition to his accomplishments in the energy sector, Folarin has prior experience in financial services, having worked as an Associate in the Global Banking & Markets division at Goldman Sachs.
Academically, he holds a postgraduate degree in Global Business from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, an MSc with Distinction in Energy Systems from the University of Oxford, and an MSc with Distinction in Taught Course in Marine Geoscience from the University of Wales.
Folarin is a Fellow of the Royal Geological Society of London, a Life Member of the Oxford Union, and serves on the Advisory Board of the African Energy Chamber. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) UK Chapter and an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), UK.
In his leisure time, he enjoys listening to jazz and studying astrophysics.
Imran Ur Rashid is a seasoned industry leader with over 25 years of experience in the food processing and industrial manufacturing sectors. He currently serves as Director of BUA Gypsum Plaster Limited, a subsidiary of BUA Group, where he provides strategic oversight and leads major project initiatives in the building materials sector. In addition, he is the Project Director at BUA Group, responsible for driving large-scale industrial projects across the Group’s food and manufacturing businesses. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of BUA Foods Plc, a role he assumed in November 2021.
Mr. Rashid began his professional journey with Flour Tech Engineers (Pvt) Limited in India and later joined Wilmar International in Singapore as Operations Manager, where he managed flour and pasta operations across multiple African markets.
He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Post-Diploma in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) from Calcutta, India. His technical foundation is further strengthened by certifications in Flour Milling Technology from the International School of Milling Technology at CFTRI, Mysore, and in Executive Milling from Kansas State University, USA. He also completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Widely respected for his expertise in project management, business strategy execution, techno-commercial evaluation, corporate governance, waste reduction, sustainability, people development, and risk management, Mr. Rashid has benefited from extensive international exposure and training across diverse industries and markets. He is an executive member of the International Association of Operative Millers and has actively participated in numerous global seminars and technical programs in flour milling, baking, feed milling, rice milling, and sugar technology.

Mr Ejike Nwolisa joined the company in November 2010 as Manager – Budget & Planning, before becoming Manager – Treasury, a position he held for years before taking charge of Corporate Finance department in 2018.
Prior to joining the BUA Group in 2010, Mr Ejike Nwolisa had an eventful career in the banking industry starting with legacy Citizens Bank. He has over 20 years work experience in Treasury, Financial Accounting, Corporate and Project Finance, Corporate and Investment banking as well as Budget and Strategic Planning.
He holds a second class (Upper division) degree in Economics from University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a masters degree in Project Analysis, Finance & Investment from University of York, United Kingdom.
He is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Nigerian Institute of Management and a fellow of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
In addition to being a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Project Finance Specialist, he is also a member of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment in the United Kingdom.
Yusuf Haliru Binji is the Managing Director/CEO of BUA Cement Plc. He holds a B.Eng. Degree in Chemical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and an M.Sc. in Chemical Process Engineering from the University College, University of London. He has over 28 years working experience in various organisations including: Cement Company of Northern Nigeria, BUA International Limited, Obu Cement Company Limited, among others. He is the Managing Director/CEO of BUA Cement Plc.
Finn Heyerdahl Arnoldsen is a Non-Executive Director of BUA Foods. He holds various executive and board roles across a number of companies that operate under the BUA brand. He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical and Combustion Engineering from Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway in 1977. He has completed several Executive Management Development Programmes at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD). Lausanne, Switzerland (1996) and Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) Fortainebleau, France (2000). His entire working career has been in the cement Industry and mainly within the African Continent.
He started his career in 1983 in Ghana as the Work Manager for Heidelberg Cement (Scancem International Ltd.) where he worked for 25 years from 1983 to 2008. He was member of the Executive Management in Heidelberg Cement Africa for 10 years as Senior Vice President, responsible for West Africa and Southern Africa. He was also Chairman and member of several Boards across the continent, also including Ghana Cement Works Limited, Nova Cimangola SA, and Tanzania Portland Cement Limited. He joined Cement Company of Nigeria PLC in 2009, where he served as Commercial Director and an Executive Board member. Furthermore, he was appointed Managing Director for Edo Cement Ltd in 2012 and Group Chief Operating Officer, BUA Cement PLC in 2017. He was appointed to the Board of BUA Foods in 2021.

Chikezie Ajaero is an experienced professional with over 25 years diverse experience in financial reporting, treasury management, financial management, management accounting, financial controls, risk management and operations analysis. He holds a HND in Accounting, passed with distinction from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu (1992) and MBA(Management) from the University of Lagos (2000). He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
She started her career at Ashemi and Co. She later joined Partner at Manga Chambers where she rose to the position of Associate Partner. She joined BUA International Limited in 2016 as a Deputy Legal Manager and rose to become a Legal Manager supporting the then Group Chief Legal Officer/Company Secretary. She also served as the Company Secretary of BUA International Limited and BUA Ports and Terminals Limited. She played a vital role in the merger of Cement Company of Northern Nigeria (CCNN) Plc with Obu Cement Company Plc, which metamorphosed into BUA Cement Plc. She also worked on the documentation and merger exercise between 5 of the subsidiaries within the Group, played a key role in the registration of Free Zone entity in the organisation and setting the sustainability documentation that made it possible for the organisation to be listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group. She is a member of many professional bodies and has attended several trainings and courses. She was appointed Deputy Company Secretary of BUA Cement Plc in January 2021, and in November 2022, she became the acting Company Secretary. Her appointment was confirmed in February 2023.
Ayodele Abioye is a distinguished business leader and engineer with over 30 years of experience in business and manufacturing engineering. He is a results-driven leader with proven expertise in operations, manufacturing, supply chain management and business development, with a track record of consistently delivering growth and profitability. Ayodele joined BUA Group as Chief Operating Officer in 2021 to oversee the company’s diverse food businesses and was subsequently appointed Managing Director of BUA Foods Plc. Under his leadership, the business has grown to become a leading entity in the Nigerian and African food sector.
His previous roles include General Manager at Seven-Up Bottling Company, Country Technical Director at Coca-Cola Nigeria, Regional Supply Chain Director with Nigerian Bottling Co. Ltd, Country Head of Supply Chain at Frigoglass Ltd, Dansa Foods Ltd. and Chief Operating Officer for SecureID Ltd amongst others.
Ayodele has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and technology from the University of Ilorin, a master’s degree in engineering management and a PhD in manufacturing engineering – both from the University of Benin. He has extensive professional training and exposure locally and internationally across the United States of America, Europe, and South Africa. He is a registered Engineer with Nigerian Society of Engineers and COREN and also an advisory board member of the University of Ilorin’s Food Engineering Department.
